Meet the Elders.

The role of our elders is to prayerfully discern God’s lead for our church spiritually and administratively and to keep us on track with that mission.

CHAD IRWIN

My wife and I have served as missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship for the last 22 years.  We spent most of those years in Ecuador where I worked as a missionary pilot bringing help, hope, and healing to isolated people in the amazon basin.   Five years ago, we moved to MAF’s headquarters here in Nampa to work on home staff while our kids make the adjustment to adulthood.  We found CTK Nampa to be a church where we could plug in right away and feel like we were part of a family.  We are excited to see what God is doing as he refines our church and gives us a vision for how we can impact our community and beyond.

AMY KING

Three words to some up my life are family, mountains, and Jesus girl. I have been blessed with 6 children. I am more than honored to be an elder and serve CTK. CTK become my home my first Sunday being there. God has lead me in many directions, but CTK has always stayed the same.

DAVE MOORE

I have been with CTK Nampa for most of the years since 2008 and am honored to be on the leadership team, working with a pastor who is truly a “pastor”. I am the old guy on our team for whom “elder” is increasingly accurate outside our church!  I am the proud father of four adult children and five grandchildren, and have worked as a claims adjuster in the insurance industry for 37 years while being a bi-vocational pastor in church planting ventures in my early years, and a “pastor at large” in various “third places” like brew pubs, cigar shops and wherever else I meet people. Along the way I obtained a Masters in Theology from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA (2001) which fueled my passion for studying the Bible as “the story we find ourselves in” and understanding the narrative themes (theology) of that Story. I also have a passion for history, philosophy, literature and culture, and hope you will join us as we learn, grow and enjoy life together in the community of Jesus-Followers that is Christ the King, Nampa.

MELINDA CUVELIER

Hi, I'm Melinda.  My husband, Dave, and I are blessed with two daughters, a son-in-law, and 3 grandchildren.  I've been a coach and teacher for 20 years and I currently work at Love INC. My life scripture is Galatians 2:20 because I learned long ago that I can't live this life on my own efforts; I need to let Christ live His life in and through me. I love that CTK has invited us to walk this life together--to figure out what it means to love one another and trust God. I tend to be a one-to-one type of communicator and would love to get to know you better, so come and say, "Hi!" if I don't get to you first.
